Who does not love a jar full of homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies? Here is the recipe for you to make a fresh batch immediately!
Ingredients
-for 12-16 cookies / 6-8 sandwich cookies
Chocolate chip cookie
- 250g flour
- 200g chocolate chip
- 140 g sugar
- 120g butter, soft
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- pinch of salt
Sandwich cookies
- Nutella, or any other cream, jam
- Edible eyes - for the Halloween edition
Instructions
Chocolate chip cookie
- Preheat the oven to 160 °C (fan).
- Use a hand mixer to mix the butter and sugar until you get a creamy texture.
- Add the vanilla extract and the egg.
- Mix the flour with the salt and baking soda separately then incorporate these dry ingredients into the mixture.
- Add the chocolate chips.
- Form 12-16 balls from the cookie dough, keep in mind that for the sandwich cookies you will need even numbers.
- Place the balls onto a lined baking sheet, while keeping enough distance between each dough-ball, as they will spread during the baking.
- Bake the cookies for about 12 minutes.
- Let the cookies cool down a bit on the baking tray then transfer them onto a cooling rack to cool and set completely.
Sandwich cookies
- Fill each pair of cookies with a teaspoonful of Nutella or your chosen filling, and push them together.
- For the Halloween edition, appy the edible eyes, then enjoy the spooky result!
