Chocolate chip cookie

  • 250g flour
  • 200g chocolate chip
  • 140 g sugar
  • 120g butter, soft
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • pinch of salt

Sandwich cookies

  • Nutella, or any other cream, jam
  • Edible eyes - for the Halloween edition

Chocolate chip cookie

  1. Preheat the oven to 160 °C (fan).
  2. Use a hand mixer to mix the butter and sugar until you get a creamy texture.
  3. Add the vanilla extract and the egg.
  4. Mix the flour with the salt and baking soda separately then incorporate these dry ingredients into the mixture.
  5. Add the chocolate chips.
  6. Form 12-16 balls from the cookie dough, keep in mind that for the sandwich cookies you will need even numbers.
  7. Place the balls onto a lined baking sheet, while keeping enough distance between each dough-ball, as they will spread during the baking.
  8. Bake the cookies for about 12 minutes.
  9. Let the cookies cool down a bit on the baking tray then transfer them onto a cooling rack to cool and set completely.

Sandwich cookies

  1. Fill each pair of cookies with a teaspoonful of Nutella or your chosen filling, and push them together.
  2. For the Halloween edition, appy the edible eyes, then enjoy the spooky result!
