How can I use the images? Do I own them?
I remain the copyright holder, while you receive the usage rights included in your chosen session.
Personal Portraits
- Are intended for your personal, non-commercial use only.
- This excludes commercial use by third parties, such as your employer or other companies, as well as your own business.
- If a business would like to use your Personal Portraits, commercial use can be added for an additional fee - or you can book a Business Portrait session instead.
Business Portraits & Branding Images
- Include the company's commercial usage rights for digital & print purposes.
- The people featured can also use their portraits for personal (non-commercial) purposes.
I may also use selected photographs in my portfolio, competitions and other promotional activities.

How does image selection and delivery work?
Step-by-step
1. Visit your secure online gallery.
2. Select your favourites.
3. Confirm your selection and settle any outstanding payments.
4. Your final selection is released - download within 30 days.
Additional images from the same session can be requested within one year.

What should I wear, and how should I prepare?
Wardrobe
- Choose clothing that feels comfortable, fits well and reflects how you'd like to present yourself.
- For business sessions, consider your company's visual identity and any agreed styling preferences.
- I can advise on colours that work well with your preferred backdrop.
Camera-ready
- Please arrive with your hair, makeup and outfits prepared beforehand.
- Professional hair and makeup services are not included in the standard sessions.
No need to worry about a twisted tie or lint on your jacket — I'll keep an eye on those little details and help you look your best on camera.
Can I reschedule or cancel my session?
Rescheduling
If illness or another reasonable circumstance prevents you from attending, your session can be rescheduled once.
Cancellation
- You can cancel your booking by providing written notice at least 48 hours before your scheduled photoshoot. A refund will be issued after deducting any applicable costs.
- Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the photoshoot are non-refundable.

How much retouching is included?
Standard retouching is included in your session price.
- Your selected images receive natural-looking processing and finishing, including the removal of temporary skin blemishes.
- Permanent features, such as skin texture, scars, moles or wrinkles, are left untouched.
Additional retouching, corrections or reshoots are charged separately.
If you'd like something beyond the standard editing scope, I'm happy to discuss your needs and provide a separate estimate before proceeding.
Can I use AI tools on my portraits?
Your portraits are created to represent your authentic self and real likeness, so Artificial Intelligence (AI) use is not included in the standard usage rights.
Examples of what to avoid:
- Uploading the portraits to AI-powered tools, including image editors, generators or chatbots.
- Using the portraits to train AI models or provide reference images for AI-generated content.
- Using AI to alter, enhance or generate new images or variations from the portraits.
