This post is an informative journalistic coverage of a PR event with editorial & reportage elements that do not aim to promote any business, organisation, product or service.
Today - on the day of publication- I am a member of Ruokatoimittajat ry (Finnish Food Writers' Association), and attended this PR event as a food writer (not as an influencer).
15 December 2024 - Helsinki
This Sunday I convinced the family to join me for a Mediterranean moment in the midst of the cold Finnish winter, and taste some olive oil from the new 2024-2025 harvest of Two Foodies.
In harmony with their motto: "only the best is good enough." Two Foodies' founders, Panos & Nikos offer two products:
- organic, cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil, and
- organic oregano.
Organic, cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil
The olives they use for their one-of-a-kind olive oil are harvested from trees that only grow on the Greek Lesbos, the home island of Panos and Nikos. The oil stands out with its low acidity-level of only 0.28, therefore it can be enjoyed both raw and during the preparation of sweet and savoury dishes. You can find insightful guidance on the brand's website about the main characteristics distinguishing their product from other olive oils:
- golden colour,
- refined taste and texture,
- strong fruity aroma.
Organic oregano
Partnering up with Myrovolos Organics from the Greek island of Chios, Two Foodies added the most typical herb of Greek cuisine, oregano to their product range. My favourite version of this oregano comes in a form of a pretty little bouquet of oregano branches - and I have to say it is one of the most aromatic oregano I ever encountered.
We tasted the following bites at today's tasting at the Decolight Showroom:
- rustic bread with olive oil,
- fresh salad with olive oil + oregano,
- Greek bean soup, Fasolada with olive oil + oregano (check their recipe)
- baked paprika, feta and olive oil spread,
and purchased some olive oil and oregano for our home-use.
I had the pleasure to attend this PR event and taste one of the most fresh olive oils you can find in Finland right now.

Thank you so much to Panos & Nikos for inviting me to this event. I also appreciate the opportunity to meet and learn directly from the entrepreneurs behind the brand, who represent their home country so well through quality ingredients.
DISCLOSURE
The organiser has not set any special criteria and has not initiated any financial/alternative compensation that would require the creation of any written or visual content related to this PR event nor the promotion of any products/services in exchange for attendance - but I decided to share my experience anyway as I think you'd enjoy exclusive insights from my recent gastro adventure. Any PR products/samples/food, drink/services/raffle prizes handed out by the organisers, other participants or exhibitors (if applicable) were not a form of compensation, nor part of an exchange agreement.
