This is a traditional Hungarian dessert called Mákos Guba, but it's well known in the eastern part of Germany ('Mohnpielen') and in Poland ('makówki') as well.

The last few pieces of my home-baked dinner rolls were perfect ingredients to prepare this Hungarian Poppy Seed Bread Pudding. This is one of the treats which is good when it's hot and good if it's cold as well. I love poppy seeds and together with a vanilla sauce that's literally the heaven on Earth for me. It could be a superb brunch as well!
